The overall picture is a very positive one again this year both in terms of our results in comparison to the national figures and most importantly in terms of our pupils reaching their targets.

S4 pupils have produced particularly strong results in their first time through national exams whilst our most senior students in S6 have excelled with a strong showing in Advanced Highers.

Notable Successes

Advanced Higher Results (S6): KA’s final year successes
Our most able S6 students produced our best Advanced Higher results in recent years with a pass rate of 91%.

‘Five Higher’ candidates (S5): KA’s most able students
32 pupils were presented for five Highers. The percentage pass rate for this group was 98%, far exceeding the national pass rate of 75%
