We are particularly pleased with our pupils' performances this year at all levels.  Pupils of all abilities exceeded targets and achieved well above the national average pass rates.

The number and level of presentations for each pupil are tailored to suit the varying abilities of individual candidates; our results clearly show the benefit of this policy.

Notable Successes

'Five Higher' candidates (S5): KA's most able students
26 S5 pupils were presented for five Highers.  The percentage pass rate for this group was 97%, far exceeding the national pass rate of 74%.

'Four Higher' candidates (S5): KA's hidden successes
12 S5 pupils were presented for four Highers.  These pupils had a 90% pass rate in their Highers compared to the national pass rate of 74%.
