Some facts about our school lunches

School Lunches: 2 courses (soup or pudding)

Lunches are freshly made on the premises each morning.  All vegetables and meat products, eg. meatballs, fishcakes, cannelloni, are hand cut and made by the kitchen staff thus ensuring a high quality lunch of unprocessed meats, with minimum salt, trans fats and unnecessary E numbers.

Cakes and bakery products (including fresh bread) are made by our resident baker, using unsalted butter, fresh eggs and wholemeal flour.

The salad bar consists of 12-15 different raw and cooked salads; mostly featuring seasonal produce eg. asparagus.  Children who choose to have salad are encouraged to select a minimum of 3 items in addition to their main choice of meat, egg, cheese or fish.
  • For senior pupils, baked potatoes and baguettes with various fillings are available.
  • All main meals are served with at least one choice of fresh vegetable.
  • All dishes are made in school, unless indicated by an asterisk (*).
