Hockey Triumph for Morris Sisters
img_0143.jpg Jenny Morris (S5) and Maisie Morris (S3) were both playing for the West of Scotland Schools Under 16 Hockey Team at the Inter District Tournament on the 7th and 8th November.  Jenny, who has been part of the team for a number of years, was given the honour of captaining the team.

Both girls were influential players in the West side and produced a number of fine performances throughout the tournament.  Although West were unlucky to lose on penalties in the final the Morris duo managed to bag a goal each to make the final score in open play 2-2 against East district.

Following on from the Inter District Tournament Jenny and Maisie have been selected to attend Scotland trials.  The girls will attend a series of training sessions before a final Scottish team will be selected.  This is a new experience for Maisie and I am sure that her big sister will be able to give her some helpful advise as Jenny has been part of the Scottish Under 16 team for a number of years.

Although Jenny is still under 16 she has been asked to attend the Under 18 trials.  This is testament to her experience and ability.
