The Annual Fund will help the school deliver excellence in all aspects of the curriculum and through the on-going development of its resources.
The Annual Fund is a way for parents, former parents, Academicals and friends of KA to work together to create a significantly enhanced environment for pupils to develop their full potential. Participation is a key to success of our Annual Fund. It is all about being part of it, not how much you decide to give.
We have included a range of items to benefit our students from Junior Start to Senior 6 and, this year, we are asking you to consider giving to the areas listed below:
Bursaries
- Your support and generosity in helping us to extend our Bursary Fund, and to offer a Kelvinside Academy education to a broader spectrum of children can, and will, change the lives of young people for the better.
Drama and the Arts
- The Arts would love to have a projector and portable lapel microphones with a mini amplifier. These would greatly enhance the excellent drama productions in which our pupils star each year.
Sport
- We would like to develop professional and durable playground markings that would serve several purposes for both Senior and Junior Pupils. The package - "Move to Improve Zone" would include the following 5 different markings: Fast Feet, Ring Step, Target Trainer, Multi-Step Column and Nine-square Grid.
- Motorised Basketball Nets would create a more efficient use of space allowing all four badminton courts to be used. Modern Cricket Nets would be welcome in the Games Hall.
- New Athletics equipment such as hurdles would allow for a broader teaching programme together with up-to-date high jump crash mats.
