Foundation Appeal
The appeal for donations to our Bursary Fund, The KA Foundation, is a continuous one. Currently, it is the subject of an annual flier to Academicals. The School invests annually a portion of any operating surplus and there is also an annual donation from the Kelvinside Academy Parent Teachers’ Association.

The Balgray Appeal The opening of the floodlit, all-weather pitch at Balgray in January 2006 brought girls' hockey and boys' rugby together in the one place for the first time.
With the consequent increase in the number of teams and the number of spectators the inadequacy of the current facilities has become all too apparent.
The proposed new Sports Pavilion, on the footprint of the old Green Hut, will provide changing rooms with shower facilities, a medical room, hospitality suite and viewing galleries overlooking both top and lower pitches.
Planning permission for the development has been granted.
Renovation of the Old Stand will be necessary to complement the new pavilion.
Appeal Update
 In excess of £1 million has been raised and construction of the new Pavilion will commence in the summer of this year.
Just £150,000 more is required to complete the project which includes the renovation of the existing stand and changing facilities.
To achieve this final figure a number of initiatives are planned:
- For £250 you may name a seat in the new look Stand.
- For £100 you may name a brick in the new Pavilion.
