Annual Fund

The Annual Fund will help the School deliver excellence in all aspects of the curriculum and through the on-going development of its resources.

The Annual Fund is a way for parents, former parents, Academicals and friends of KA to work together to create a significantly enhanced environment for pupils to develop their full potential.  Participation is the key to success of our Annual Fund.  It is all about being part of it, not how much you decide to give.

Bursary Appeal

The appeal for donations to our Bursary Fund, The KA Foundation, is a continuous one. Currently, it is the subject of an annual flier to Academicals. The School invests annually a portion of any operating surplus and there is also an annual donation from the Kelvinside Academy Parent Teachers’ Association.

For more information, please see Bursaries.

The Balgray Appeal

On Sunday 5th September 2010 the new Pavilion at Balgray was opened by former pupil and Scotland Rugby Internationalist Richard Gray (2007).  The new Pavilion comprises the Miller Drummond Suite, an extensive reception and viewing area which overlooks both top and bottom pitches, first class changing facilities, kitchen and the new Hay Medical Room.  This is complimented by the fully upgraded stand and is now one of the best sporting venues in the West of Scotland.

In excess of £1 million was raised and you still have the opportunity to purchase a seat or brick in the newly upgraded stand.
  • For £250 you may name a seat in the new look Stand.
  • For £100 you may name a brick in the new Pavilion.
