Financial support with fees (ranging from 10% - 100%) is available to both Junior & Senior School pupils. The KA Foundation provides bursary funds on an annual basis for pupils of potential, new to the School, who are unable to afford full fees. Such pupils will undergo the normal admissions procedure but, in addition, parents/guardians will be required to complete a Bursary Application Form providing details of their financial position. This form is sent out with the Prospectus and should be returned at the same time as the application for entry to the school. Applications for bursaries, from pupils who have successfully passed the normal selection procedures, are considered by the Awards Committee and parents informed in writing of the amount of the bursary awarded. Kelvinside Academy also provides bursaries for pupils already in the Senior School whose personal financial circumstances have changed. Additionally the Warden Bursary Fund exists to help pupils, who have completed at least one year in Senior School, whose financial circumstances have changed. The Bursary, in particular will support cases where a pupil’s future would be significantly jeopardised if he or she was forced suddenly to leave Kelvinside Academy. All bursaries are reviewed annually by the Awards Committee and assume the continuing hard work and commitment of the recipient, and the maintenance of the parental contribution. For further information on bursaries, eligibility and the application process, please view the Bursary Information leaflet. |
