They included Mr & Mrs Harry Abram (1941), Mr Ronald Brash (1942), Mr & Mrs Peter Cuthbertson (1942), Dr & Mrs Eric Gibson (1940), Dr & Mrs William Quaile (1940), Mr Ralph Risk (1950), Sir Robert & Lady Smith (1940) and Lord and Lady Weir (1944).
The following School representatives also attended: Mrs Lesley Douglas, Rector; Mr Ian Lindsay, Deputy Rector (retired); Katie Mullen, Head Girl; Andrew Pattie, Head Boy and Mrs Elaine Solman, Development Manager.
Lord Weir (Bruce Weir), worked tirelessly over many months from his home in Lochgilphead to organise this most enjoyable and highly successful event. A commemorative booklet was produced to mark the occasion and Ronald Brash's elegantly written memoir of those times helped to remind everyone of this unique chapter in the life of the School.
The Evacuees Book below shows photographs of the evacuees on Arran and in Tarbert. This is a large document and may take some time to download.
