The Sixth Year Centre accommodates seminar rooms and collaborative working areas as well as a common room and kitchen. It is designed to prepare S6 students for university study and life. In their final year, students follow a professional studies course that covers leadership, entrepreneurship, finance, community service, study skills and campus survival. Some take Open University modules.
We also invite guest speakers from the universities, business and the professions to highlight the transferable skills and personal attributes our students will need to succeed in the 21st century. It’s an approach that works. Our school leavers win places on competitive courses at the leading universities; former pupils can be found at the top of every profession and succeeding in every walk of life.
